What can volunteers do to help?
We rely on the kindness and generosity of other dog lovers like you. Here are a few ways your volunteer time can help us save more dogs.

Transporting
We need folks to transport dogs. That means picking up dogs from shelters and delivering them to foster homes. That could mean transporting a dog to a new forever home. That could mean taking a dog to a medical appointment.

Event Coordination
We have a few fundraising events each year, and adoption fairs monthly. We always need people to coordinate and attend these events. We also need volunteers to help our foster families by making sure their foster dog attends adoption fairs regularly.

Clean Up
Some of our dogs are housed in temporary boarding with a non-profit group called At Risk Intervention. They need our help to maintain a clean, safe environment for the dogs. Cleaning out kennels, bathing dogs, walking and playing with the dogs, are all much-needed services there.

Photography
Got mad photog skills? We always need pictures of our dogs to showcase their individual looks and personalities. Great pictures go a long way in getting a dog adopted. We always need pictures of our events and adoption fairs.

Social Media and Publicity
We try to maintain a strong web presence through our website, and also via social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter. We need web-savvy people to help us highlight our successes and spread the word about basset hounds in need. We also publish a monthly newsletter.
