Olivia
Say ahroo to Olivia, a gentle and pretty basset girl who wants a calm, loving
home where she can bask in peace, love and belly rubs. Olivia spent the first
3 years of her life cranking out puppies in a backyard breeding operation
in deepest East Tennessee. When her owner wanted out of the puppy-making business,
he took Olivia and six other bassets to the Johnson City, Tenn., animal shelter
and left them there. We got Olivia out, and now she's in a loving foster home
in Oak Ridge. She is learning what it's like to lounge around and not have
to work for a living. She loves to roll in the soft grass in her foster mom's
backyard. And she likes long, slow strolls around the yard where she can sniff
all the fascinating odors. There's a story in every scent when you're a hound
dog. If your life is missing a sweet, demure basset, Olivia is your girl.
