| Because we were formerly the
West Tennessee Branch of TVBR and hosted the TVBR web site, we moved the TVBR
Adopted Bassets to this site. | | East

| | If you previously adopted a basset
from TVBR or WTBR and want to add a photo of your hound or some special words
about your hound, please . He is especially friendly to persons who adopt
rescues. And if I have something wrong, just tell me. I will fix it.

Weiner, aka Smoche was adopted by Amber (Blaylock)
Speck on 11/2/1999. Weiner passed away on Saturday,
June 2, 2007.
My name is Amber Speck (Blaylock). I am just writing to inform you that
I had to euthanize Wiener (Smoche) today. He had congestive heart failure
and was not breathing well. It is a very sad day in our home as we all
loved him dearly. I just wanted you to know. Thanks for letting me know
& love him.
Amber Speck
Smoche was one a litter delivered by a rescue basset. He was a
typical rambunctious and energetic puppy and is now romping and playing
with Amber's Jack Russel Terrier that is almost the same age as he is.
Shelby was adopted by Jo Ann Hill and Mat Lemonine on 11/10/1999. Shelby
crossed the Rainbow Bridge October 10, 2007.
Shelby was found on Shelby Drive in Memphis thus her new name. She
had mange, and was heartworm positive. This poor girl had it really rough
for a while but she is now getting all the love and care a loving basset could
ever want.
Patches now has a loving home with Cynthia Mohr on 9/21/1999.
Patches is great and I cannot remember how life must have been without him
as a part of our family. We are so grateful for your devotion to these lovely
beings. Cynthia Mohr Patches previous owners had to move and
could not take him with them.
Sophie (aka Sara) was adopted by Gene & Sarah Scott on
9/21/1999. Sophie passed away on Saturday, April 22,
2006.
Sophie and Jackson the Great Dane

Sophie and Heidi
Sophie, AKA Sara, was picked up as a
stray by the Memphis Animal Shelter. She was adopted and spayed by the shelter
before they checked her for heart worms. She tested positive but we had
already adopted her. If the shelter had not been so over crowded and the
regular vet on vacation, we would not have been able to save Sara. The Memphis
Animal Shelter does not normally allow heart worm positive dogs be adopted.
Opie
has a new home with Greg and Jamie Cornelius on 6/28/1999.
Opie was picked up as a stray and rescued from the Memphis Animal Shelter.
Droopy has a new home with Chet and Cathy Lay on 5/27/1999.
Droopy was rescued from terrible conditions by Terry Keough, one of our fosters.
She did a wonderful job getting him back to good health and saved a wonderful
basset.
Samantha has a new home with Eddie and Karen Muchmore.
Samantha
was found very pregnant on January 4th. On January 8, 1999 she delivered
8 basset/lab puppies. Adopted on 3/18/1999, she is now a Princess in Training
and is very loved by Karen, Eddie, Quella, & Kota in Loveland, CO.
Karen and
Eddie were the Publicity and Fund Raising Coordinators for TVBR. Thank you
Karen and Eddie!
Samantha's Basset-Lab puppies have new loving homes.
Whelping and raising all of the puppies was challenging but extremely gratifying.
We miss them but know they all are loved. Their is nothing quite
like puppy breath or seeing a puppy bond with a young child.
