TVBR Adopted Dogs
Because we were formerly the West Tennessee Branch of TVBR and hosted the TVBR web site, we moved the TVBR Adopted Bassets to this site.
East TennesseeMiddle Tennessee

If you previously adopted a basset from TVBR or WTBR and want to add a photo of your hound or some special words about your hound, please . He is especially friendly to persons who adopt rescues. And if I have something wrong, just tell me. I will fix it.

Rainbow Bridge Poem Sammie was adopted by Jeff & Katrina Patty on 10/24/2003.
Sammie February 21, 2002-October 24, 2003

My dear Sammie. As a sit here writing this my eyes are still swollen from the tears of losing you in so short of time. Before you closed your eyes I said I love you, I just hope you were not disappointed in me for having to let you go so quick. You had a wonderful life before we adopted you from your home shelter. I really wanted to make the rest of your life just as enjoyable. You were such a gentle nature dog & will be greatly missed. You will always hold a special place in my heart because we picked you as our new addition to our family. Please now run in the open there & enjoy all you can. Watch for me by the bridge. I am so sorry you had to go on so soon.

Love from your family The Patty's
Sammie
Tragically, Sammie bolted out their front door the day after he was adopted and was hit by a car. Sammie was one of Savannah's puppies born in our home on February 21, 2002. We loved him and miss him. We will see Sammie again when we meet at The Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Poem Anna was adopted by Todd & Tracy Myers on 5/17/2003.
Anna February 21, 2002 - June 6, 2005

We received this from Tracy on Nov. 4, 2003

Anna and Maggie

"We finally got both her and Maggie to sit still long enough to take a picture! Anna is doing great. I think she is well adjusted now. It took her a while to warm up to us, but now she acts like this is her house. We definitely live on their schedule! We found that she doesn't like toys (stuffed animals and squeaky ones) as much as Maggie, but Anna absolutely loves the bones we get for her. She gnaws on them for hours. She does something that is so funny and cute. If she's on the couch and we walk up to her, she gets really excited and stands on her hind legs waving her front legs in the air. It's her version of jumping up and down. If we wave our arms too, she'll wave hers even more. She is a great addition to our family and well loved. We're so glad we adopted her!"

paw Timmy was adopted by Patrick & Janet Kanne on 4/29/2003.
Timmy got out and became lost on May 7, 2003 from his new home in The Shallow Glen Trail area of Cordova. He has a collar with a blue plastic bone shaped ID tag. The Tag has our WTBR 108 ID number and our phone number, 662-838-4732, on the other side. He was 15 months old and looks more like a Border Collie than a basset even though his mother was a rescue basset. Timmy has been neutered and weighs about 35 pounds. He is current on all shots and a little shy.

Rainbow Bridge Poem Henry found his special home with Robert & Carrie Peery on 4/2/2003.
Henry
Henry has brought so much joy to our lives! From the day we picked him up from Clara and loaded him in our airplane to take him home - he was home! He loved being at our house, riding in the car, riding on our Sea Doo and just being with us. Tragically, a friend of ours accidently hit Henry in our driveway on February 2, 2004 and we ended up having to put him to sleep; he had a broken back. I was totally heartbroken ......... devastated ......... so saddened that we had only gotten to spend 9 months together. I miss him so much. I had never known the joy of adopting on older hound and I must say that it was one of the best things that I could have ever done. Henry was such a joy, a ham, spoiled rotten and all of those basset traits that make them so much fun. I'm just glad that I got him when I did and we enjoyed the time that we had. Henry, I love you, I miss you and I will see you soon at The Rainbow Bridge. Give Sally and Sammy a huge hug for us! Robert and Carrie
