Because we were formerly the West Tennessee Branch of TVBR and hosted the TVBR web site, we moved the TVBR Adopted Bassets to this site.

If you previously adopted a basset from TVBR or WTBR and want to add a photo of your hound or some special words about your hound, please . He is especially friendly to persons who adopt rescues. And if I have something wrong, just tell me. I will fix it.

Rufus was adopted by Susan Moinester on 9/4/2002.
Susan says, I am writing to tell you how much we all adore Rufus!! We can't just imagine life without him and it is impossible to believe that he has only been here 2 weeks. He gets along well with both weims and gets into long and rambunctious games of tag with the 2-year old male (Lance)- with both of them running at full speed through the house! Not great for my wood floors but they are having fun (and getting exercise). He is very fair and even with his love to us - giving us all lots of attention and affection - which we all crave. He is soo happy and sweet. We are adjusting to his pace, which is certainly different from the weims. They bound out of bed in the morning as soon as my husband stirs and are eager to go in the yard and then have breakfast. Rufus is much more laid back. Sometimes he gets up with them, but most of the time he rolls out of bed much later - whenever he feels ready. We just let him do his own thing at his pace.

Just wanted to let you know how much we love Sugar (formerly Savannah) she is such a great girl and has truly become part of our family. She loves to play in the yard and watch people through the dining room window! Thank you for all of the work you do with these dogs!!

"Betty Lou was adopted by myself and my ex-wife back in April 2002. Betty has been living with myself and my new wife for a year now. She is in wonderful health and has Mileaux with her. She has a new brother, 6 y/o Pom and my princess 19 m/o registered AKC Princess Sadie Lou Vinyard basset. She is the center of attention. I got Sadie when she was 8 wks old. I did not know that I would get Betty Lou and Mileaux back with me. I am so glad I did. We now have a good houseful of dogs and we love it."
