Lucky,
now called Jake, went to the Rainbow Bridge in Aug, 2001
Maximillion was adopted by Angela Hodges on 12/23/2000.
Rocky was adopted by Tammy and Greg Miller on 10/19/2000.
Rocky is a basset with wondrous devotion and heart. He developed glaucoma
and lost eyesight in his right eye shortly after coming to us. A few months
later he lost eyesight in his left eye. Even when Rocky was in great pain
due to the glaucoma and required surgeries, he remained loving and affectionate.
Even though he is blind Rocky gets around very well. Because of Tammy's
devotion to Rocky and his to Tammy, Rocky has a loving home and life is good.
Here is Rocky's new home and some of the family. Bassets left to right are,
Jake, Rocky, and Redbud. And of course their basset slave, Tammy.
Redbud
crossed the Rainbow Bridge Dec. 9, 2004.
Josie Wales was adopted by Stephanie and Rod Blum on 11/14/2000.
Josie was found on a busy highway and saved by St. Francis Animal Rescue
in Clarksville, TN. We named him Josie Wales because he has a Clint Eastwood took
at times.
Lucy, formerly known as Betty, was adopted by the Mendelsohn's.
Lucy was adopted from a listing on this web site from the Memphis Humane
Society. She had heartworms, ear infection, abscessed gums, ticks and was
just a skinny minnie. Now she is grand and gorgeous, happy, playful, full
of personality and just a loving and sweet girl. She fits in with our other
Basset, Twink perfectly, they sometimes appear to be twins!

Annie, formally known as Snoopy, is a very active 10 year old who demands
daily walks.

the hearts of Kay and Jim.

Clementine came to us from the Jacksonville, AR animal shelter and now lives
in Atoka, TN
Chloe was adopted by Leslie Peach on 7/27/2000.
Leslie says, Chloe hides food all over the house and actually goes through
the motions of moving dirt (that doesn't exist) on it and everything. She
also likes to grab new rolls of toilet paper and run in circles as fast as she
can. She is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. She tried
to sit on my shoes while I was putting them on this morning so I wouldn't leave.
She just kills me. She has even learned my "getting ready" routine in the
mornings and she knows when I get my shoes or walk to the night stand for my watch
that I am about through so she gets up to go out.

Nicki was an 11 year old rescued in April, 2000 by the Middle TVBR branch.
She received and gave much love in the last two years of her life. Thanks to Middle
Tennessee Basset Rescue and David, Nicki received the love and care a lady her
age deserved. She has left behind a very large amount of love and forgiveness.

Vincent is now called Bud.

Mr. Murphy was adopted by Donna Maginn on 1/18/2000.
Mr. Murphy is a basset with a lot of character and intelligence. He
was found wandering the streets in the Nashville area with no collar or identification.
Thanks to a wonderful foster home with Nancy Alexander we were able to take Mr.
Murphy in and find him a new home where he is getting the one-on-one love and
attention he deserves.
Mr. Murphy peacefully crossed the Rainbow
Bridge in June 2003. Thanks to Donna, Mr. Murphy's last 3 1/2 years were filled
with the love and companionship he needed and wished to give in return.
Sweetie was adopted by Cathy Moore 1/18/2000.
Sweetie is a 10 old female tricolor basset left tied to a tree in front of
the Nashville Humane Society, covered in fleas and ticks. She was rescued
by Dawn Bryant, who cleaned her up and got rid of her fleas and ticks, and had
her teeth cleaned and then brought her to us. Thanks to a foster home we
were able to have the time to find the right special home for Sweety.
Fred
went to the Rainbow Bridge on February 19, 2001.
He was was given the love and attention he needed by Jason Parrish and Joyce
Yeager. Fred was a very special basset and will be greatly missed by all
who knew and helped him.

as too costly to save. We took him into rescue and he was operated on April
19th. by Dr. Hendricks of Germantown Animal Hospital
(the best basset vet in Memphis). Thanks to Joyce and Jason, Fred went to
a new home with them and their other basset, Willow on 1/23/2000. We mourn his
loss with along with Jason and Joyce. As well do many others who met and
knew Fred in Memphis, TN. Please Visit
Fred's web page. Joyce and Jason are also volunteers helping us with
basset rescue. Thank you!
